Anybody know of any decent sets that you can record VHS on to DVD?

I have just found a load of old VHS tapes that I would like to transfer to dvd.

I have a Panasonic one, which has caused me no end of grief. Functionality wise it is very good, but the DVD player isn't very reliable and it has quite often crashed and wrecked the DVDs I have recorded (after spending many hours toiling away at copying camcorder videos on to them).

Steer clear.

There some places in town that offer the service Paul, have a look into the photography places. They normally charge around £6-£7 a video though if I remember correctly.

It's mainly old City tapes that I want recording, the good years though. I think I'd look a bit of a saddo taking them in to a photography shop :icon_lol:.

I bought a VCR/DVDR recorder a couple of years ago and it has never given me a moment's problem copying hundreds of old videos and new direct from camera clips.

I have one too have no problems at all ( well apart from recording from my camera onto dvd although it works fine on mine it doesnt work on anybodty elses ) but the vhs to dvd no probs.
