Lets hope so. He's taken a fair amount of flack, and everybody is more than entitled to their opinion. His selection this evening raised a few eyebrows, but it sounds like he got it spot on. Aston Villa had a full strength squad out, and Megsons formation appeared to do it's job. We have to understand that we won't get silky skills and world class performances, but Megson's trying to steady the ship, and he has to start at the back. If we win 1-0 most of the time playing unattractive football, then so be it. 3 points are 3 points!
Megson and Taggart should have a good amount of knowledge between them on how Stoke will try and play on Saturday, and I'm really confident of a victory, even if it is an uninspiring 1-0 defensive performance.
