Picking up an injury like that during a training session? Very unlucky.

I've not seen him have a good game for us this season. I think a combination of a system that doesn't suit him, getting played out of position and only getting cameo appearences have seriously hindered him. If only he could have lived up to his form from last year. I really hope he sticks around and is given a fair chance next season, there's a really good striker in there somewhere.

Not sure how we will cope without all his goals...

The divvies will still be asking "where's Waggeh? Why ain' 'e brang 'im on?" And some twat will post a comment on the Mercury website after we lose saying Waggeh wood of scored an at trick on Satdeh.

I hate you all.

Could turn out for the best.
Sometimes a player can try too hard and end up like a little kid chasing the ball.

That's how I feel about Waggy, and also think he is getting Huuuuumme like status.

Anybody think he'll be here next season (whether out on loan or permanently)? I'd imagine Sven will be looking to sign a couple of proven strikers in the summer and it'll leave Waghorn with a place on the bench at best.

Sven said before, when he was being linked with loan moves, that even if Waghorn did go somewhere temporarily, he wanted him at the club next season. Although, I wouldn't be suprised if that changes (same with Hobbs)

If Waggy could play as well as he did last season, then well worth keeping around. But, he seems to have been a long way off that this season. Doesn't help that he has been playing out wide a lot of the time though, and hasn't had a run in the team.

I think a lot of it depends on who we bring in over the summer, but I think a loan move is more likely than a permanent transfer.
