An idea I stole from The Beatles thread.

Do you prefer watching bands at smaller venues or at bigger stadium size venues.

I much prefer smaller venues. I prefer the imtimacy of the experience rather than watching matchstick men from row z.

I would rather see Bon Jovi in a stadium, yet I would rather see the Manic Street Preachers in a small venue, although probably the best gig I ever saw was the Manics at the millenium stadium.

I have seen some excellent bands both in stadiums and small venues e.g.

Skid Row - Donington Park / Rock City, much preferred them at Rock City

Poision - Donington Park / Rock City, much preferred Rock City

Bon Jovi - NEC (front of) / Wembley Stadium, much preferred Wembley

Cast - Knebworth / De Mont - Prefer De Mont

A question with a million answers

Depends on the band and venue

Where would you prefer to see your favourite bands? Or do you think that bands performances vary between the size of the venue.

I've seen a few bands at large venues and small venues, and generally the smaller venues outweighs the bigger venues for better experiences.

I have only just noticed that this is a poll. Sorry Muzzy, I really cannot vote on this. The only one I can rule out is C

Depends whos playing.. I don't see the matchstickmen comment as being that relevant really, I went to see Bon Jovi the other day in the 'gold circle' and was literally right infront of the stage.. even so surely it's not much different to going to watch Leicester City play from the back of the stands? The atmosphere is really what makes the show and obviously to get that a lot of it is down to what kind of performance the artist puts on... from my experiences so far, I far prefer bigger venues.
