From the OS... you have to " work in a professional manor".
Unlike the club's HR department who can't be bothered to check what they've written.

Anyone know what bluetooth messaging is?

We are looking to recruit a cutting-edge and enthusiastic New Media Officer to provide new media and audio visual services to the club, its business centres and external partners.

You will have experience of working with all forms of new media including video production, digital photography, PhotoShop and design packages. An appreciation of HTML, CSS and SEO is also required.

The successful candidate is likely to have knowledge of some of the following: Digital video production, PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere, Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effects, and E-Newsletter development.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of the Clubs official website as well as overlooking and assisting in the development of the Clubs CRM system (Microsft CRM) and new media communications streams such as SMS messaging, Bluetooth messaging and live TV broadcasts.

Key duties:

- To service the audio visual and new media needs of the marketing department, on behalf of the various business centres.
- To pro-actively maintain and update the clubs official website and all sub-sites
- To execute new media communications including e-newsletters/shots, SMS messages, Bluetooth messages etc.
- To develop the use of the clubs CRM solution by exploring and expanding its capabilities and technically developing campaigns.
- To help develop the clubs new media strategy
- To assist the Media Services Manager and Press Officer in the co-ordination of online press releases and editorial content.

Personal profile:

The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work, be a good team player, work in a professional manor and have the ability to work using their own initiative. They would also need to work to tight deadlines and be an excellent communicator.

Also, anyone using the phrase CRM solution wants shooting, possibly twice.

Just noticed this:

This manor looks quite professional to me. I wonder if that's where the job is based?

... and if you are going to be "overlooking ... the Clubs CRM system.." it mus mean you will have a desk by the window.

Sending BMS to people who leave their bluetooth on. I expect they are planning to use this as a marketing ploy this season at home games.

someone with a professional manor is being sort for the clubs new media strategy

;)

feck wasting our money on that shite, get a proof-reader

oooh there's more

"casual labourer's"

"KPI's"

it was obviously written by a HR bint

looking into the jobspec, they've spunked a load of money on software to list all their customers (by which i think they mean companies and not us, but probably us too!) and monitor the sponsorship money coming in and all the contact made with customers

be very afraid of the bluetooth, we'll all be getting spam at the games now :)

just out of interest, does anyone fancy writing to the club and asking (under the data protection act) what details they hold about you?

:)

(may cost £10 though!)

It is funny that two people have now pointed out the mistake but failed to notice themselves that it has already been pointed out.

:icon_lol::icon_lol:

i didnt quote it, i amalgamated it with the earlier saught/sort error that they corrected after we pointed it out...

i was going for a compendium of OS spelling gaffes

Poo tooth more like
