City: Schmeichel, Peltier, Konchesky, Bamba, King, St. Ledger, Johnson, Wellens, Beckford, Abe, Nugent.
Subs: Pantsil, Dyer, Vassell, Weale, Fernandes

Quite surprised Fernandes drops out of the team... thought he offered more than a lot of them against Birmingham.

Not surprised to see Nugent and Beckford starting. HOpefully that partnership will get off to a good start.

Good stuff, on paper this looks ou
r strongest team .. good to see Dyer back in there.

God to see Johnson starting. Looks a very attacking line up. Quite surprised by Fernandes and Danns being dropped entirely but think this is perhaps more of a squad rotation ploy rather than anything else. Be a good opportunity to see how Beckford and Nugent work together as an attacking force

Hadn't noticed that. Glad to see Dyer on the bench too. As I mentioned after Sunday's game, he's the only midfielder we've got that can really come on and change the shape of the team.

Seriously? With all the Champions League football that there is tonight?

It was mentioned in the summer that we were going to have all our home matches broadcasted on Thai Channel 3. Well, I'm watching that bastardian channel at this very moment and there is not a muddy football pitch in sight.

Watford have won 2 out of the last 16 away games. Given the way we just love to break other teams' records, that almost guarantees them the points.

Are we winning yet?

He's been dropped because he sulked at being substituted against Brum and refused to shake hands with Sven when he came off. Although he wasn't playing very well it was a good tactical decision. He should stop being a mardy arse and show the sort of form of which he is capable.

Apparently Beckford has had it in the back of the net but ruled out for offside
