I've thought for a long time that the red card thing for a professional foul is an unfair punishment. Do it in the first minute and it could be worth more than a goal to the other team. Do it in the last minute and it's hardly a punishment at all.
If a team has denied you a clear goalscoring opportunity by cheating, outside the penalty area, a penalty should be awarded, so you still have the scoring chance. If it happens inside the penalty area, a goal should be awarded, with no penalty needed. That's fairer to both teams than the current system.
