Academy coach Steve Beaglehole insists Leicester City aim to take the game to Chelsea when they clash in the FA Youth Cup tomorrow night (7.0).
A quarter-final place is at stake when City's FA Premier Academy League champions take on the west London giants at Stamford Bridge.
And Beaglehole says City are not travelling simply to make up the numbers.
“It's a very exciting game, particularly with it being at Stamford Bridge,” said Beaglehole.
“They normally play at Brentford but this is going to be at Stamford Bridge, which is fantastic for everybody to be part of it.
“We are not going there to keep the score down or to be defensive.
“We honestly believe we have a good chance of getting to the quarter-finals and that's what we aim to do.”
Beaglehole knows a lot about the FA Youth Cup, having reached the final of the competition as coach of Doncaster in 1988.
However, he described the FA Premier Academy League as the youngsters' bread and butter, and a run in the FA Youth Cup as a bonus.
“It's a bonus at the end of the day,” said Beaglehole.
“We have won two games against Crystal Palace and Blackburn to get here.
“The FA Premier Academy League system, which we won last year, has not got as much prestige as the FA Youth Cup but I think it was a greater achievement to win it than winning the FA Youth Cup.
“You can win the FA Youth Cup winning six games and the luck of the draw can help your passage.
“I think we were the best youth team in the country last year and proved that with what we achieved.”
City could be boosted by the return of Ashley Chambers from an Achilles injury. He was due to return to training today. Fraser Tuttle is also expected to be fit after missing Saturday's 3-0 win against Coventry.
However, forward Billy Kee is out and Joe Mattock, who starred for the first team in Monday's 1-0 win against Crystal Palace, will almost certainly not play with Saturday's trip to Blackpool on the horizon.
