Bumping into Stephen Hughes in Life, then 20mins later, my mate (who knows nothing about football) plonking himself in front of him in some seedy kebab shop and doing deals with him to swap chicken meat with normal doner meat.

My mate asked him who do you support trying to make conversation considering he sat in front of him, the reply Glasgow Rangers, my mate - who are they, SH - a rowing club, my mate - oh right thats nice, why are you in leicester? where are all your mates?

He doesn't get the football concept.

Nice fella wished him best of luck and off he went. Was chatting for 15-20mins while my mate was stealing his doner meat. Doesn't have much of an opinion on CL, did say he was enjoying it under the new management though.

Really? Care to go into any amount of detail about what he thought of CL?

Someone today (poss Joey) said something to the efect of 'im really enjoying it now CL has gone' im sure someone can tell me the specifics of it!

It was Fryatt who said he was enjoying life here since Kelly took over but he must have only been here 2 weeks before CL got the chop so I wouldn't read too much in to it.

No i was asking plenty, my mate was sat opposite but i was on another table with my back to him so had to turn round.

My mates first question to start a converstation, where are you from? Motherwell, Glasgow. What you doing down here then? Where are all your mates?

The innocence of my mate asking do you know where Rutland Water is and do you like bike riding (he works there and thats his standard question).

He didnt want to say to much about CL other than to say he is enjoying far more under RK. Which is pretty obvious really.

He left most of his kebab for my mate who was stealing bits of it anyway.

Suffice to say he was hammered and so were we.

he looked merry when he left the do last night....one of the last ones to go..think most of the players headed into town......in Iain Hume's words 'to get bollocked'.

i also have to say, and i think YV will agree with me...our lads don't half scrub up well when they put nice suits on!! although Hume still looked like a little thug!
