the CEO role that TD has must be one of the toughest in the country. He has most of the executive power but that means he does most of the work too. On top of that he clearly liked CL, he was his man after all. He also has to keep the fans onside because they are the constant lifeblood of the club. CL had achieved a number of the key objectives set from him, but not the one that we all see, the results. Right decision made, but it must have been personally difficult.

Having said all that! TD Needs to lift the spirit of the club, its not just a business its a way of life for many people, its our own little theatre of dreams where for a couple of hours a week we can feel we belong to something significant and we can cheer our heros. Its been too staid and bland, lets have some colour and some enthusiasm.

And free beer.

And sufficient pies to last halftime!

TD has been clever IMHO he has stated that he took the decision due to what the "the fans " wanted. if we do go down who will be to be blame ?

All I could offer the club in taking up this post is blood, sweat and tears, an incredible thirst for beer, and and an extensive knowledge of today's game based on an entirely complete collection of 1996/7 Pannini stickers. But if your are in a jam .........I'm your man!

As I have been put on a strict Tenko-like diet by Mrs M, if I were to be appointed as the new Manager, I would ban all pies, pasty's hot-dogs etc and replace them with rice-cakes, ryvita with flora and fecking cottage cheese. I have the health interest of my fans at heart.

Mr Davies listened to the fans and mad actions to keep US happy. Credit where it's due, just hope we're all right, that's all.....

Not sure it was due to the fans, I think purely league position and 6 consecutive losses. Don't think the board had any choice really but fair play to both them and Levein for the dignified parting statements. Least there has been no mudslinging.
