Much better - we actually looked like a team that wanted to win. How much of that was due to a different style or how much was due to us being behind after a few minutes I don’t know. Hopefully the former.

Simpson, Morgan, Chilwell, Gray and Okazaki were all under par. I don’t like Morgan’s new tactic of constantly taking players out off the ball.

Iborra, Mahrez, Vardy and Nacho all superb.

The first 15 mins was dreadful, but then we started getting Iborra on the ball more and looked a lot better. Then Nacho completely changed the game when he came on - absolutely brilliant.

How shit were West Brom though? Some of their passing was absolutely woeful. They were so shit that I don’t want to get too giddy yet, but you can only beat what’s in front of you and we did that well.

Good win that. Made better by very tasty goals for Vardy and Mahrez.

The assists for both were superb. If Kelechi can do that then he can play with Vardy. Hopefully the start of something good for him.

I was glad to see Iborra back in the starting line up so it's good he got a goal too.

I think we've been needing a result like that to get us going again. Onwards and upwards now.

Amazing Vardy goal. So easy to not see what an incredible pass that is. (jealous managers will just say it a random 'hoof' ball!)

Vardy just watches the ball the whole way and just volleys it into the corner. He must be able to smell the goalposts, because he does not look at the goal or the keeper once!

Got be in contention for goal of the season.

I think we have a slightly easier run in than Burnley, who unfortunately are still playing well.

If we can play as well as we did today for the rest of the season, I think we can overtake Burnley, especially as we still have to play them.

If Arsenal stay in meltdown, and if we can finally beat them, it might be possible to catch Arsenal as well.

... as long as Puel stops picking Chilwell as left back!

To be fair to Chilwell be offers a lot going forwards. Beautiful cross for nacho's goal. True, his defending is weak but I'd say that is countered by his forwards play. Not too dissimilar to Schlupp really. Iborra is nonchalant and when he's on his game he's brilliant, like against West Brom. They looked a dejected outfit though who are coming to terms with the drop. A good win but the big one is Chelsea in the cup. Good to traje confidence into that one. Should be a ripper of a game.

I've been critical of Chilwell previously but the criticism of him on here for his performance yesterday is unwarranted.

There does seem to be a bit of a bandwagon scapegoat effect.

He didn't do a lot wrong for their goal yesterday.

Only saw the extended highlights but Mahrez looked to have had his best game all season.

Apart from giving the ball away and then falling on his arse? No, not a lot wrong.

Just watched the highlights, the Vardy goal was an incredibly skilful finish.

He instinctively knows where the goal is and doesn’t even glance goalwards but keep his eyes firmly on the flight of the ball.

Volleys it with his weaker foot as well.

Yet another sublime finish - the skill as you say is quite breathtaking to watch .... and you know he'll do it again and again.

Good to see the team looking confident, especially Iheanacho.

As I said at the game yesterday, it’s a tough game anyway, but without playing, he’s not going to gain the experience he needs to learn and improve.

Ndidi looked much better yesterday, aided by the fact that he had the experience of Iborra next to him. Having Gray and Chilwell together on one side of the pitch was a big ask and it looked like West Brom targeted that side in the early part of the game, with a fair bit of success too.

Chilwell and Gray would both benefit from an experienced player working with them, as Fuchs and Albrighton have done in the past. Having the two of them on the same side of the pitch means that they’ll have to grow and learn quickly, but I presume Puel has seen enough of them to think they warrant the chance to prove themselves. If you can’t give it a try against the worst team in the league, when can you?

In the build up,

I’m a Chilwell fan but he made a right mess of their goal yesterday.
He didn’t give the ball away in the build up. He wasn’t near it. But he did get wrong sided of Burke before the cross

Chilwell was ****ing dogshit against WBA, both defensively and offensively. His offense mostly consisted of running into the first man and thus turning over possession. He improved mildly in the latter stages, which should not disctract from how bad he was for most of the match regardless of his assist - mostly his crossing was absolute turds but it was his hopeless offensive play and ineptitude at defending that were bigger concerns. Needs to improve a damn site on that because we've seen much better from him and that was not an acceptable individual performance.

I appreciate Puel is the type of manager who generally keeps faith with the younger players but if he keeps that up for much longer he's got to be dropped to the bench... he was a liability in that game and thank god it was only West Brom.
