over how many years? Shinji has 7 goals in under 2 years, he is a better player than Nugent

Just checking and Nuge played 97 games in the prem, Okazaki 67. Nuge 14 and 5 assists. Okazaki 7 and 0 assists.

IMO Nuge at his best was a much more complete (and better) player than Okazaki at his best.

Do you think we'd have won the league last season with Nugent in the team instead of Okazaki?

That's like asking if I think we could've won the prem last year without the Croatian in the squad.

would we have won the prem last year if we had Messi in the team? Same daft question.

btw Skitzo Oka has played more minutes in the prem in those two years than Nuge has since 2008.

Nuge was a great player for us and he's been a great professional all his career. Vardy wouldn't have been the player he was last year without learning from Nuge.

I'm not sure those stats mean too much. Okazaki is clearly more of a defensive link between the forward and midfield. It does leave Vardy with more of the work to shoulder on his own, particularly at times like now when our only other real creative force in Mahrez is a bit out of form.

Going into next season we need to focus on adding to young CBs to the squad, along with maybe a creative experienced midfielder (Adrien Silva might be an ideal fit but not sure I like the price they're quoting) and someone who can help Vardy up front. He doesn't really seem to have struck up any sort of partnership with anyone other than Okazaki. I also think we should be cautious about signing too many more African players, less the squad be decimated mid season due to AFCON 2018.

It's only a daft question because you don't know how to answer it.

You said that Nugent was a better player than Okazaki. So I asked the question whether you think we would have won the league had Nugent played instead of Okazaki (i.e. Played every minute that Shinji played). It's a simple question.

What has Messi or Kramaric got to do with it? No one compared Okazaki to Messi or Kramaric. Okazaki was compared to Nugent. By you.

I give up. I can't have a debate with stupid people.

Sorry for potentially having started yet another endless hypotetical discussion about a player's ability vs another's.

Yeah, but would Tommy English have scored all those goals in a row like Vardy did ?

It's a vital question that needs an answer

Some people, FFS

It's a stupid question because there isn't an answer. If it hadn't rained on a saturday or if Kramaric hadn't been such a good training partner or .... We don't know what would have happened and there isn't an answer. If we had Messi (I think you'll admit he's a much better player than Okazaki) he may have messed up the team ethic or he may have gotten injured. So saying whether having one player or another is ludicrous. It also has nothing to do with the discussion that Skitzo and I were having.

How many premier league medals does Nuge have?

How many international goals does Shinji have?

*** sorry Nuge, absolutely love you by the way****

This is pointless if you don't consider how many goals Messi has scored. Or how many pairs of socks Kramaric has.

Time for Drinkwater to be given a break. I doubt it'll happen but it needs to. I'd be a little more experimental:

Schmeichel

Simpson
Huth
Benalouane
Fuchs

Gray
Mahrez
Ndidi
Albrighton

Slimani
Vardy

I would give Mahrez another go through the middle, perhaps pushing up slightly with a freer role.

I think we all know what 11 we will see though....

How many international goals would they have if their nationalities were reversed?
