Aside: I reckon Musa's confidence is shot. He doesn't look to take players on. I think (I'm hoping!) he'll come right and we haven't blown a wedge of cash on a dud.

Musa wasn't the only one who gave the ball away, it got quite frustrating, the second half seemed to last forever.

To be clear I'm pretty fine with Musa and Slimani as signings and think they walked in to a very difficult situation around the club. I'm actually hopeful they will work out long term.

But both were poor in their cameo today.

Short memories on here about Okazaki. When he returned to the side everyone was pleased how much harrying and breaking up play he did. Just because he does not score all the goals does not mean he is not do doing just as valuable job as Drinkwater and N'Didi.

Okazaki is twice his size for us. (Well, if the Kanté cliche is that he's 2 players, why can't Okazaki be twice his size?)

Yes, he goes down a lot but then he is fouled a lot. He draws the foul with his close control and turn. Personally, I think he's a vital cog in our machine (sorry, still obsessed with cliches) He sets an example with his work rate, I rate the guy and his contributions highly... even if I would like him to stay on his feet just a little bit more!

We watched different games then. I thought Shinji caused them all sorts of problems, including on the first goal in which he dragged the defender across the six yard box leaving the keeper flat footed.

You didn't see Musa give the ball away multiple times with the ball at his feet and you didn't see Slimani miss a chance most Sunday league strikers would tuck away?

I saw everybody in the team give the ball away multiple times in the second half alone and I saw our star striker miss a couple of easy chances. I think you're picking on two players needlessly.

And for an average player Albrighton is superb. He puts more effort in than Vardy and Okazaki put together (and they're the second and third best effort players we have).

Great win. Definitely thought they were gonna get back into that towards the end.

Holding on is big it's a big 3 points.

Onwards and upwards

Our worst player was Okazaki who whilst he ran around well he was on the floor most of the time, lost the ball when he had it and is not a threat. I'll take that though when we're winning.

Wrong. If you couldn't see what Shinji did Today, you'll never understand his value to the team. I've supported Musa but when he came on he was truly awful.

He was awful but I don't think that makes him an awful player. I think he is hugely lacking in confidence.

Well somehow I slept through the second half so I can't comment on it. First half we were easily the better side.

I think it's quite significant that all five goals from our last two matches have been scored by different players. In fact, we have seven different scorers under Shakespeare and both Vardy and Mahrez are back doing their thing.

Defensively, we're scrapping away but are still some way short of the unit from last season. Schmeichel is keeping us in games, so there is still some work to do.

It's a great time for a break and those two home matches against Stoke and Sunderland look very inviting. Two wins and I think even I would be happy for us to rotate the entire side for the Everton and Palace matches in order to keep the first eleven fresh.

Spot on - he was excellent in that first half

Albrighton was again superb. Mahrez, Simpson, Drinky and Huth also bang n the money

But Schmeichel was exceptional. Truly outstanding, and not just that world class save, it was everything

Slimani and Musa were indeed dogshit, but by that time we were were hoofing stuff anywhere. It was a waste having them both on the pitch - should have put an extra body in midfield

We need this rest, big time, 'cos we looked buggered at the end

Missed all of the first half due to Windows picking an opportune moment to do nearly an hour's worth of updates (which have made precisely no positive impact on my user experience, if anything the computer now seems to run a bit slower).

On the 2nd half showing I thought we were very lucky to come away with any points never mind all three, and certainly wouldn't have come away with anything more than a point were it not for having a goalkeeper who is looking increasingly world class.

Apparently we were much better in the first half though, so it's all good.

We're on our way, we're on our way, to a top half finish, we're on our way

It wasn't as good as people are making out in the first half other than the first 15 mins when Wham were truly awful. At 0-2 up we should have pulled away but it always felt as though we could lose it. Our 3rd was a godsend - a bit lucky but great for us. Second half we looked like we could lose it too.

Benny, Huth and Kasper were enormous in saving us second half.

Considering how much game time he has had (I know he plays regularly for the U23 side) I thought Benny was excellent.

We couldn't score for toffee for weeks, yet we've banged in 9 in the last 3 games. What a turnaround.

Just goes to show you can't motivate our players with 100,000 of pounds wage increases, new BMWs, book deals,TV interviews, global praise, etc.
All that was needed was negative psychology - to be told (by everyone, every pundit, every media outlet) that they're a bunch of totally useless losers, don't deserve to be Champions, an embarrassment to PL football , they'll get slaughtered in the Champions League, they'll be relegated, and they were only ever lucky, back stabbing, cheating tossers - oh yes - and they can't have butter after the Everton game. Seems to have worked well so far....
