City Bow Out In Semi

Leicester City were knocked out of the Westerby Challenge Cup on Tuesday night, going down 2-1 to Oadby Town.

City put out a young side, consisting largely of players from the Walkers Academy, against the Midlands Alliance league side for the match at Holmes Park.

Peter Canero put the Foxes ahead, but Oadby pulled level and will go on to the final courtesy of an extra time winner.

Should of won, by a healthy margin at that but lack of quality in front of goal cost us. Caneros goal was a great strike, left foot top corner from the edge of the 18 yard box. Scrappy in parts but a game that should of been dead and buried in the first half.
