I've been driving for 20+ years FC, just never bothered actually getting a licence till now. :icon_wink

Indeed, like the Porsche Boxster driver who overtook me in the outside lane of the M1 doing 80ish a couple of Saturdays ago looking down at his lap and vigorously using his left arm appearing to text, and then cutting across three lanes to take junction 29 slip road. At least, i think he was texting:icon_wink

At least when you're driving illegally you tend to drive impeccably so as not to draw attention to yourself and I'm always very polite to the cops at a checkpoint. Although the danger is now that I mightn't be quite so gracious to them, which could be my undoing.

My grandad has never had a test because he drove during the war. The rationale was that if you could drive at night with only slights of light, you could drive ok in normal conditions.

He crashed into at least 10 different ditches during the war.
