I know every manager has a piss poor player who always seems to be in the side or squad, but johnson is taking the piss! admittedly I have not been able to see him week in week out, but what I have seen of him is pathetic, he needs to drop down a few divisions.
The man is not fit enough, lacks vision, does not understand positional play, and is generally a burden to the team. I just for the life of me can not understand why we signed him, he gives us nothing, not even as a 2nd string player, he is here IMO for a pay check and thats it!
I apologise if people think I am out of order but that geezer needs to sort his life out sharpish!

tbf johnson was abysmal and has been for a while but we probably dont have a choice at the moment but to play him..i hate it when the fans give players ironic cheers because they were shite but we as fans pay our money to see them perform and we should be allowed to vent our frustrations when we feel we are being short changed...other players must realise themselves when someone is having a mare...we played better when he went off - which wasnt hard to do...and for the record i havent and never will single out a player for criticism

A squad which is as limited as ours has got to rely on team-spirit to carry it through many of the games as we try to grind out a result. The manager and the rest of the coaching squad will be instilling this team-spirit into every one of them. In such circumstances, players are playing not just for themselves, not only for the club, not only for the supporters, but for each other. Any hurt for one player is a hurt for all of the others - something received by Hammond or Johnson is also received by McCarthy and McAuley, by Hume and by every other player on the bench or on the field - clearly not something that these fans even think about!

The part of the discussion to which I contributed was in relation to the crowd's reaction to players. Now if, you'd asked me earlier in the thread I might have felt that I wanted to answer.

I'm 100% with Boc on this, by all means sigh and groan when his passes go astray etc, but when he is having to walk of the pitch with the whole stadium looking at him and his own fans humiliating him is just wrong.

Show your frustrations by not applauding him if you wish, or constructively by cheering the replacement player.

Right:icon_wink By the way I would never boo/mock a player,doing so will only make them play worse IMO.Its always one poor sod who gets stick.Don't rate Johnson never have but as said earlier I would imagine he is playing because we have nobody else
