That's another one of them stupid sayings that I've never understood.

If you own a trumpet, is it really wrong to want to blow it yourself?

Likewise, if you have some cake, why is it frowned upon if you want to eat it? I have never seen anybody at a party with cake on their plate and not eaten it purely because they genuinely believe you can't have your cake and eat it.

So, anybody who has their own trumpet and refuses to blow it, or has their cake but refuses to eat it, is a ****.
