Looking at it as well, we've got a really tough run in.

My fingers are tightly crossed

Apparently we'd agreed a deal for Ronaldinho but he didn't just want to be a bit part player :102:

7 points clear, 8 games left.

IMO we have 5 games too many to be guaranteed of safety.

We could be relegated with still 2 or 3 games still left to play. Whoever thinks we're safe and sound and laughing needs shooting.

We won't go down.

We have good spells and bad ones (where we didn't know where the next point was coming from) - we need a good run for 2 or 3 games and we will be OK.

Only 7 points off relegation, but there are quite a few teams 5 or more points below us - they can't all have a barnstorming finish.

Both those points provide me with some confidence, although I am in no way feeling complacent about it.

From FansFC. ;) Seems that we can? :icon_conf :102: Seems like we were desperate at that point. ;)

"He has been out five/six months, and last season only played now and again because he was recovering from another, serious knee injury," said Bruce of the ex-Chelsea forward.

"Although he needs proper games, we're at such a crucial stage of the season that I cannot afford to take any risks."

RK and the players, judging by their attitudes recently.

I think that MA did a decent job. against all the odds ... admin, transfer embargos, all the sh!tt from Colin W@nker etc.

He got us promoted. he had to deal with all the La Manga stuff. OK, so he signed a few gerriatrics and stuff,(I still think that we are in desperate need of a Steffan Freund ... he cared more about this club than the whole of the preesent lot put together) but, and its a big but, I still think he would have acheived more with this squad than the current incumbent.

I think, that given all the odds and everything. I think that the board could do a lot worse than take MA back, give him some cash and a strong person behind him and who knows.

Or, on th eother hand, we could get Mike Newell.

(Prepare to repell boarders!!)

The last season under Adams was the biggest load of joyless cack I've ever witnessed at LCFC. We got promoted inspite of Adams not because of him, as soon as he was allowed to sign his own players it all fell apart. Rubbish manager, thick and very arrogant, massive chip on his shoulder about once (as a player) being told he was sold for being too old, for some reason thinks this has given him the right to go on a one man vendetta to give any 'old' player a job to balance things up. Spoke in the third person a lot of the time and used to play for KovSkum. Do I really need to go on?

Yes. it's a breath of fresh air to hear that someone isn't claiming that the current mob isn't the biggest load of joyless cack ever witnessed at LCFC.

What's gone wrong? In short the following:

Too many players in too many teams think that they are bigger than the badge on the front of their football kit. How many of the current squad can you say actually care about the shirt, the city, the history of the club. The answer is of course none of them...and very few will. It is an unfortunate truth.

Too many players are paid too much. Certainly that is the case with our team. They are paid for playing a game with a ball, 22 men (23 if you count the ref at most Leicester games), some grass, two posts and a crossbar. Frankly and simply that is it. Some are good at it, some bad, and worse some start good and then their ego overtakes their ability and they think they are better than they are. Some of them drive fast cars, love fast women, have short careers. Some of them are like little nuggets that you just can't flush. Some of them drive their porches around the walkers stadium on the wrong side of the road because they think they are bigger than the fans that pay their wages...

We have players who come out and say they are giving everything they have got, and we have managers who agree with them. At least 10% of them are of course telling the truth. The fan who worked from 9.00 until 5.00 who dug deep in their pockets to pay for the ticket to watch THIER CITY can tell you differently. There was no fight, no best effort, no whimper in fact. The most competative experience of the day was finding a parking space or even the will to go back the following week.

We have a wonderful mouthpiece that tells us how hard people are working to put things right, but really we have people who don't play for the simple joys of the game or for the city or badge. Wages are really far more important. Instead we have one month of performance and then when we have professionals who feel they might have done enough to justify their pay cheque and subsequently have a month off...think it isn't happening? Just look at our month by month season results. We have been up and down more times thean a whores...well never mind.

We've got pats on the back, and arms around shoulders when a slap around the head is necessary. We have consolation for a poor performance when the only real necessary question is, or at least should be, 'what did you do to justify being in that team'.

Finally we have standing in adversity shoulder to shoulder, consistency, loyalty, faith and belief...and what makes me the most sad to say is that this is only the good hard working people I stand with every week. Even these good people sometimes wonder why they bother...and who can blame them, especially the ones who watched us play QPR.

Rob Kelly for being hapless and accepting overwhelming apathy
Rab Doublas for not leaving
Alan Maybury for making the same mistakes over and over
Stephen Hughes for once being promising
Mark Yeates for being a player with no attachment and frankly for having no real reason to give a damn
Mark DeVries for collecting his wages
Geoff Horsefield for doing nothing for weeks
Andy Johnson for ONLY JUST realising his career was a PROFESSIONAL footballer
Matt Fryatt for believing his own press
Nils-Eric Johansson for talking up his exit until the golden pay cheque arrived
Shaun Newton for being an also ran player
Richard Stearman for having promise but turning it on when he feels like it and driving his porche around the walkers stadium on the wrong side of the road.
Elvis Hammond for that miss...offside or not
Jason Jarret for the best impression of a headless chicken that can't pass I have ever seen...

Please honestly **** Off! The few I have not mentioned count yourselves lucky.

That is the problem.

Agree with the first half of your post. Re the second half...never go back.
