Pepsi Max trophy final - about 3,000

Stevenage were given 3,100 tickets but I don't think they've sold anywhere near that many.
In non-league there isn't the same culture of buying tickets in advance, so maybe a lot will be buying their ticket when they get to the ground.

As Notts County fans found out today when Sutton Utd had no facility to provide advance tickets. So, all the County fans travelled down without tickets.

Went Kettering-Lincoln today, 1-1. Poor game, Kettering deserved to just about shade it. Lincoln scored with a great load of luck and a goalie mistake.

Some Kettering fans were moaning about Stevenage today, nearly the whole division hates em because of a tapping-up saga over the Summer. At about 30 minutes, they found out it was 0-0. One of them said 'let em think they are in a game and then I hope Leicester do them 4-0'. No-one in non-league likes Terry Westley.

Anyways Rory Delap eat your heart, Exodus Georgeran (sp?). Now he can throw. :icon_lol:

The crowd was very disappointing. I was expecting Stevenage to sell out their end but the available space was only about half full. And to think they moved L1 blockers out of their usual seats too. I'd like to think if we were non league and playing a league club we would sell out our end and come with balloons, face paint and the lot to make a party of it. Stevenage support was very poor considering.

Also, in my bit of the kop, a ST holder who only decided to come late on was sold a seat further back than his normal seat as his seats had been sold. Trouble is, if they were nobody had turned up so he just slipped down into his usual seat once the game kicked off.

You expect Stevenage to bring 3k?

The ticket office thought they were going to bring 3k. They had been told by Stevenage that they would bring 3k.

Well they really shot themselves in the foot. If they had agreed to us charging lower then the crowd would have been bigger and as a result their share of the gate receipts would have been higher.

They brought just over 1100.
Talking to one of the stewards before the game and they said Stevenage had requested the full allocation, which of course meant L and N blocks had to be given over.

And on their website the story changed from the one which was on last weekend where it certainly seemed as though the delay in putting the tickets on sale was because they wanted to charge over £20 per adult ticket to they didn't want LCFC to give it's STH a £5 discount because that wasn't fair on their own fans.

Well, maybe if they HAD allowed us to do that, the attendance could've pushed over 10k and they would've had a bit more of the gate money.

good to see the greedy ***** shot themselves in the foot :icon_lol:

although no matter what price was agreed for yesterday I wouldn't have turned up

I'm not sure that it was down to 'greed', more likely that they just wanted to put City fans off from going while expecting to sell out their allocation, whatever the price.

Good job their fans made all that noi... oh yeah.

How is that relevant? :102:

Just something I thought I'd mention. If Stevenage won on Saturday, let's just they wouldn't have heralded by the fans of other non-league fans like Blyth and Histon have been in the past two days.

I got Graham mixed up with former Derby caretaker and now Birmingham Academy Director Terry.

Now I see.

Graham's the man who once said Farnborough would be a Premiership side in ten years, leaving the club four years later with six figure debts, isn't he? Yeah, scumbag.
