The replacements should be made up from new signings and some of the good youngsters already at the club. I would like to see the following players at least promoted to the first team squad -

Walker, Scowcroft, Benj and Elliott are out of contract in the summer. So it will be really exciting to see who he brings in with the stupid wages that they are earning. . The spectre of Peter Taylor will only then stop hanging over LCFC.

People are saying that Levein coming here is the start of a new era, I don't believe the new era will start summer 2005 . Thanks to Micky for getting us this far.

The only ones I would keep are Heath, Williams, Connolly, Stewart, maybe Morris , Wright, Tiatto, Makin and the 'Stearmans' who haven't been given a chance yet.

Don't think many will go before the end of the season unless someone comes in for them.The ones I think he will keep are
Connolly,Canero,Williams,Tiatto,Stewart,Heath,Stearman,Gudjohnsson,Morris,Wright,Scowcroft(on a new deal)there are some youngsters he will try and move up to the first eleven in the next 6 months.I would think he will go for The Keeper Gordon and Maybury from Hearts.De Vries is very injury prone don't know if the board will sanction a move for him.At least MA didn't leave him with players on long contracts to honour.

Id agree with those, there are many players who have not yet performed who may under CL. Gudjonsson, williams etc, i think these two should be our best midfielders.

Gillespie - Also washed up! Doesn't care a toss about city.
Benjamin - cares, works hard - isn't good enough!

I agree to an extent. There is a glimmer of hope with him...he should improve with a manager who makes players work hard I also think Canero is going to be a very big player for us. He has great pace. I think if and when he is fit he will do well. He shouldn't be too far off because he was playing for the reserves a few weeks ago.

Also Williams shouldn't be written off. Under our fiery scott of a manager he should get the kick up the arse that will massively improve him! Williams is a great passer of the ball...frustrating that it has largely been flying over his head

Wouldn't keep many - Nalis has stated that he will be off back to France at the end of the season - Walker will be off off as well IMO - I would keep Elliott for one last season, Tiatto, Scowcroft, Connelly, Williams and Benji - perhaps a few others but there is bound to be another massive team re-building job again for the start of next season after CL has sorted out all the deadwood

Good point. CL has improved the players at Hearts hopefully we can expect the same here. It may be that some of our current duffers might look like world beaters at the season's end.

We do have some quality players at the club and IMO the biggest problem has been that we have been playing with a lack of direction, passion and commitment, all things that I expect the new manager to instill very quickly.

Player wise I think we probably only need 3 or 4 players, a right sided player, a left sided player as cover for Stewart and Tiatto and also a striker to replace Dublin and Blake.

it would be nice to see some younger players such as O'grady/Wesloski (sorry can't spell)/levi/etc on the bench starting to make a break through instead of playing the OAP's!
