TBH, it's a good idea, a VERY good idea, but I fear he'd want to stay on as our Manager and we'd never got rid of him.

We seem to have done better appointing lower league managers.
If we go for someone lower down it has to be someone who has been successful for 2 or more seasons.
As Little was, as oneill was, As McGhee was to some extent.
Dave Penny, Ronnie Moore, Martin Ling (Did well last started well this), Tilson(though didn't go so well last year), Russel slade is doing a good job too.
Any other names from lower leagues? That fit the into the category?

We can forget about Paul Jewell - it's not realistic.
I think we are degenerating to the point where it doesn't matter much who is appointed - they'll only last last weeks/ months anyway given the state of the club and how its run.
