Re: Who should we go for when Megson jumps ship?

You reckon that he will have changed his mind since categorically ruling us out last time? :icon_conf

Don't think he did, if the job was offered to him, IMO he would walk to the Walkers to accept it.

Re: Who should we go for when Megson jumps ship?

My preference would by Gary Johnson at Bristol City, whether we'd get him or not I doubt- his team look like a good bet for promotion this season, and why would he want to work for Milan 'sack 20 managers' Mandaric?

Ones we'd have a chance of getting, that I'd accept would be:
Simon Grayson
Ian Holloway
Paul Ince
John Collins
Dave Penney

Ones we might go for who I'd hate to see would be:
Gerry Taggert
David O'Leary
Glen Hoddle
Peter Reid
Graham Souness

The really disturbing thing is the lack of quality available in what we'd realistically be able to attract. This has got nothing to do with our current position, our fanbase or the club itself, it's entirely down to our club's chairman/owner.

good call, i saw donny on telly the other day and they looked excellent

Paul Ince. Should have got him first.

Re: Who should we go for when Megson jumps ship?

Time for Milan to take on the job himself - Tim Davies to help out with the coaching.

Re: Who should we go for when Megson jumps ship?

Thank you all. This thread has really brightened up a miserable day!

My choice will be Bill Clinton with Al Gore as assistant. They should just last long enough to be replaced by George W Bush, who will invade the premiership to install us there in the interests of democracy.
