I stayed at the end but that was due to circumstances beyond my control.

What I did witness was a squad of shite players walking around the pitch not really wanting to be there and getting very little from the crowd of which 85% had already fecked off. Their attitude from the pitch had flowed onto the " lap of honour".

It's difficult to be sure unless one was really involved on a day to day basis with the playing staff. But on the (not very many) occasions I have attended games this season - I sense that there is no rapport whatsoever between the players and the supporters.

Some of the stories that one hears (no doubt many are anecdotal) all seem to suggest a group of inferiour players at first team level who have an incredibly inflated idea of their own importance. This seems to go right through to the younger members of the first team squad who are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think they are good enough to last in the game at any decent level.

Therefore, it's not surpring that their bad attitudes have spread to the kids in the Academy. It's wrong to blame any individual although Kelly was apparantly a weak figure who could be petulant about certain individuals that he disliked but incapable of getting any disciplined response overall.

I think that MM's biggest task is to sort out the attitude problem and he needs to find a way of being fair but ruthless. I wouldn't know how he can do this but it's down to him. He's not going to splash that much cash - so he might as well concentrate on getting the culture right.

Also the young lads at half time didnt look as though they gave a flying feck either. The fans were clapping them and they just sauntered around not even looking into the crowd, so as far as I am concerned they can feck off too, ungrateful twats.

This says it all about what is wrong with Leicester City. Weak management from kelly and others has led to first team squad members having bad attitudes and a massively inflated view of their own worth. This attitude problem has spread to the kids - who see young members of the first team squad acting around the place like arrogant prats and they think that is the way that pro footballers are expected to behave.

MM needs to sort this out in a fair but ruthless way.

Good post Steven - however I must say that the single best thing to improve both that culture and the rapport with the fans is results.

I would be very happy for an incoming manager to have a total alcohol ban and club curfew on some nights. The right attitude comes from the club employing professional athletes who are moulded into an effective team. It also means a dedicated fitness coach. They have all the facilities of Loughborough University to hand. It is not rocket science to get the basics right. Do not Arsenal have an alcohol ban?

It was not me. All I did was take RF's post and reformatted it. ;)
