So now that Shakey has gone, who's coming in next?

Thoughts, suggestions and rumours here.

I'll start off by saying I haven't got a ****ing clue. Hopefully the owners do... Hopefully it's not Big Sam.

David Wagner. He was my preference when we sacked Ranieri.

If we've any sense we will try to lure Silva from Watford or Benitez from Newcastle. I'd be pretty happy with Dyche even though many wouldn't.

It'll be Sam Allardyce or Gordon Strachan and then the shitfest will really begin in earnest.

Where are you looking?

Sky Bet has Allardyce favourite at 2/1
Pearson 3/1, Mancini 6/1, Coleman 7/1, Wagner 8/1, Pardew 10/1..... and Ancelotti 10/1! If only o_O
Jesus that list is depressing. Throw money at Benitez - even we must be a better bet than Newcastle.....

We won't get Mancini now, same goes for any far-out ideas of landing Ancelotti. I think a realistic good appointment would be Allardyce.

Coleman would be disastrous. He has been poor at every club level job he has had, and the only reason he has been successful with Wales is because he has one of the worlds best players playing for them.

They read them out on Sky. They also emphasised that 'sky sources' have made it clear that the 3/1 man in that list is definitely not in contention.

Mine too.

As I said at the time, I'd rather have an up and coming young manager than one of the same old faces that keep getting Premier League jobs without ever achieving anything. So I expect we'll end up with Pardew.

Completely agree. I'd take Dyche or Howe for the same reason over the likes of Allardyce, Coleman etc.

If Mancini is available, he's the one for me.

Rumours that he's unhappy at Zenit and wants out.

Could work very well for us and him.

I said when we hired Shakey that I think Mancini wouldn't have wanted to come here at that stage because we were in a shit position with no transfer window to help solve the situation and he wouldn't want the risk of being relegated with nothing he could do about it.

Think things are different now - alright we're in the bottom 3, but you look at our squad, how early we are in the season still, and the fact he'd have money to spend in January and I don't think too many people would see us as serious relegation candidates just yet.
