Why is the Blackpool game on Tuesday?

When I saw this on teletext I thought that we were on Sky but then I see that Liverpool vs Burnley is on at the same time, same night which has made me ask the question "Why is the Blackpool game on Tuesday?"

Some clubs usually play midweek games on Wednesdays (such as City) and some traditionally play midweek games on Tuesdays (presumably including Blackpool). I assume it's just a logistical thing - getting the police, stewards, pie sellers, etc, to commit to regular evening work can't be easy.

Apparantly Blackpool have a goalkeeping crisis but Preston (the barstools) have agreed to loan their goalie to Blackpool for another month so someone will be in their net tonight - damn, I was hoping for a Theo Zagorakis type of evening but there you go.

Heard a whisper that the Burnley game might be off again... does anyone know if Sky has the ability/right to relocate to Blackpool if it's called off early enough?

No way they can, these things have to be pre-agreed and contracts need signing, health and safety need to check the cameras etc etc....
