is pissing me off.

I have ripped music to it and am trying to put it on my phone. I insert the phone card into the laptop's card reader and then drag and drop the tracks to the right hand panel and they go in fine and the 'remaining' memory meter goes down correctly but when I click 'synchronize to device', it goes through all the tracks as usual and says 'complete' but when I check, absolutely nothing has transferred and no memory has been used on the card.

WHY WHY WHY WHY!!!!!! It was fine at first but now it really does suck eggs.

Please dont say use itunes or some other software because I want this to work as it should.

What do you mean by "ripped music to it" ?
If you mean you've used it to rip music onto your drive, why not just drag n drop the files onto the card. Or am I missing something?

the music is on my hard drive, that's what i mean. I cant just drag and drop to card - it needs to go onto the card via some software.

But, if it is connecting into a card reader built into your laptop, surely Windows can recognise & access it?

I tried doing it that way Macky, it didn't work - got lots of 'source blah blah' errors on random tracks.

Even if I plug my phone (with the card in it) into the laptop via USB it still does the same thing.

It's just a thought but, maybe that answers your original question.

A card is not usually referred to as a 'device' - it would be a 'drive'. Are you trying to sync the wrong thing?

maybe your phone only accepts certain formats?
