Wireless adapter for 360

Ok so i don't know whether to buy from amazon: this or this for my 360. I have a 820.1g wireless connection (well im guessing so as my network connections for my pc says 802.11g wireless etc. SO would it not be worth getting the more expensive one which claims to be faster if i don't have a "n" connection in the first place?

No point getting an 'n' version unless you're thinking of upgrading your wireless router. And even then the 'g' version is far faster than your internet connection will be so it won't be any quicker for online stuff.

In what way is it "better"?

If they mean faster, you won't need it.

If they mean it has a better range, maybe that would help if the X-box is a long way from the router, but you'd have to live in a pretty big house with lead lined walls for that to make much difference :icon_wink

Fair enough. the router is upstairs and the xbox is downstairs, but its not that far really (its pretty much directly above), so i'll go with your advice

I didn't look at them on Amazon I just looked at your post so I didn't realise the price difference was only £7. If it was me I'd probably get the faster one because it's such a small difference in price and it might save me having to upgrade at some point in the future.


If you have lots of people using the same wireless network, particularly if they're streaming large files like videos between devices it would be worth upgrading the network anyway.
