Hi,

I need a new wireless router for home.

Can anyone recommend any in the £50-£75 range.

Want it to be as quick as possible and as easy as possible to set up and protect.

The Netgear stuff is normally very good and a doddle to setup.

I've had no Problems using Linksys routers. Fairly easy to set up, and if the Internet ever goes off, just unplug for 10 seconds and plug it back in.

The internet going off is one of the problems im trying to get away from!! But the linksys stuff does look good.

ok cheers ill have a look.

Next question then, anyone seen any decent deals?

Ive installed about 7 of those Netgears now and not one has had any issues. I'd go for one of those personally.

And for the laptop a PCI card or usb??

EDIT: Ive had both in the past and don't really have a preference either way.

either, cards tend to get in the way less but are usually a bit dearer.

SO there is no discernible difference in the performance then (obviously if they are the same spec)?
