Marshall not at his best certainly but Dyer was probably more effective after he came off!

Dyer wasn;t great don't get me wrong, but he played a couple of good through balls. Marshall is relief on for his delivery which was akin to what we were used to with Gallagher. He hogged the ball too much too and shoots too often. That final free kick summed up his performance today exactly

Cant disagree...but he will have better games whereas to my mind Dyer is a busted flush & we won't see much better from him.Squad cover/last 20 mins sub at best.

Also dont think marshall can be criticised for shooting too often considering the belters he's scored for us since he signed.

Poor defending, poor retention of possession, poor marking, poor finishing.

Wrong team, wrong formation, wrong application from the first whistle again.

NP keeps saying that he knows what's wrong when we lose but he doesn't correct it. He blames players mistakes which is a sure sign of a man not in control. There are numerous decisions at the moment that are bizarre and his mistakes keep being repeated. I can't see how Dyer is good enough for the bench, let alone a start. Why alienate senior pros like Beckford and Danns and then have them hanging around? Either play them or get rid.

Is De Laet better than Peltier? Not so far.

Is James worthy of keeping Danns sitting at home not even selected for the squad? I don't think so. Do we have any two men that can control the centre of midfield? I don't think so.

Is Moore good enough for the first team? He's getting there but not yet. Far too many errors today for example.

Why is Konchesky a shadow of the player he was a year ago? Maybe NP trying to replace him in the summer didn't help.

One goal from a striker in five games. And that was a gift back pass. Not good enough.

And we're such a tiny team. No physical presence of note. Easily bullied off the ball. Too pissy-passy, with no end product.

We're going nowhere and these gung ho second half consolation displays should not mask the fact that there is something very wrong with this team.

Back to back home games this week, and six point required to stop us slipping behind the pace too far. Several personnel changes are needed too. We're now piling on the pressure on our home displays and the nerves will start to show there soon. Then the wheels could properly fall off.

I can't see a happy ending with NP right now.

True, I like Marshall but he wasn't at the races today. We'd have faired better subbing Marshall and having someone else standing over dead balls than continuing to let Marshall waste them this afternoon.

I think Knockaert could potentially come in for King seeing as he came off injured. Knockaert likes to drift inside so he could easily take Kings position.

Problem is were not all that blessed with dead ball specialists to replace him with really.& with Marshall I think you always get the impression of him being able to produce something out of nothing at any given moment. You dont get that feeling with Dyer. He's more like a shit film...if you've been watching it for 45 mins & its been rubbish you dont often think it'll get better in the second half.

Knockaert seems a good enough stand in on corners. I'd even chance De Laet, his crosses were excellent...shame about his defensive ability

I thought Marshall had a decent game. Not his best, but not bad.

Knockaert was the star man, has to start next game.

I really don't understand why we brought Waghorn on. Should've been Beckford, or maybe Futacs. But not Waghorn. To be fair though, he wasn't awful when he came on... but Beckford's better.

Very frustrating game, because I think we were actually the better team. Just 2 stupid bits of defending for their goals and then not clinical enough, because we created a lot. Same story as the other two away games though it seems! Should've at least had a point today.

I'd still like to see us sign another defender... Or maybe not depending on Whitbread, as I don't really know how good he is.

I'm optimistic still, as I really think we're not far away from a good side. Knockaert and Marshall in the team excites me. Finally we have some good creative players!

I'm a Marshall fan and I have to say he was utter gash today. Please feel free to explain what he did that made his performance a decent one

OK...if it all goes tits up & NP gets the boot before Xmas I reckon we should apply for the job as a 2 man team.I'm sure between us we can figure it out :icon_bigg

2 home games against much smaller clubs coming up for Nige to rescue career.Don"t worry-if he is failing this time next week we will make sure the owners are aware of the need for a change.
Arry has been heard to say he really fancies a move to east mids rather than live by the sea in Sandbanks,Mind you with Pogba ,Koren and Messi as nailed on signings.......!
Karma
Gus Poyet?

Knockaert was the best player on the pitch. I know it's because he was on the winning side but Karl Henry did not deserve MOTM over Knockaert. He was positive and I don't remember him wasting a single ball all half. I thought Marshall was very good too.

Schmeichel was faultless and made a few good saves but in front of him, wtf was going on. Wes Morgan was a one- man defense today. Moore looked so shaky, I think it's time to pull him out of the first 11 for awhile, and both full-backs were abysmal in their defending. Yes De Kaet was good going forward late-on and yes Konchesky scored a wonderful goal but their first job is to defend and they both failed at that. Konchesky clearly hasn't learned from his error that led to Blackburn's goal. He must have on at least 4 occasions played misplaced passes in to the middle of the pitch straight to a Wolves player. Sadly thanks to our poor squad building our only options to replace these two are a centre-forward and a couple of centre-halves.

King did ok but Drinkwater was AWFUL. I think fining him every time he takes a shot doesn't go nearly far enough. He should be threatened with a spell in a Taliban prison if he so much as thinks about taking a shot. James, as with Dyer, did nothing wrong but that's because they did nothing. Both were completely anonymous.

I don't know why but David Nugent has completely lost any trace of the striker he once was. He should have buried that header near the end. Vardy was busy and clearly put it in a ton of effort but he never looked a threat today.

As for Waghorn ... Can anybody come up with a rational argument in support of why Oearson brought him on? After the Burton game Pearson made comments on how some of the players who thought they should be first-teamers had let themselves down. Danns, Gallagher, Schlupp in terms of playing up-front, we're clearly three of those players. Waghorn played the full 90 mins that night and failed to score but I guess he didn't fall in to that category. Waghorn wasn't unlucky when he hit the post today. HE SHOULD HAVE SCORED.

Speaking of the Burton game, one striker who did score was Futacs and he could have offered us something different today and he should have come on.

Given how poor we are throughout the spine our team I'd like to see us switch to a 4-3-3 with Marshall and Knockaert playing up-front either side of s central striker. I'd like that striker to be either Vardy or Futacs. I am a Jermaine Beckford fan and I believe a different manager could get the best out of him but I don't see a future for him here under Pearson. To be fair to Beckford, and I know he's a professional and he should give 100% for us regardless of anything and I agree with that, but having been dropped to the bench after two games and bring told he can leave and then being told he can't, I don't blame him for not being motivated. If we are to stick with Pearson then I think Beckford should be allowed to leave. The same goes for Danns if he is on Pearsons outcast list. It's sad because I think both could be positive players for us this season.

Of course there'll be no formation changes and it honestly won't surprise me if Knockaert starts on the bench in the next game. There ate BIG problems at Leicester. Good teams don't continually play well and lose. Promotion winning teams are not continually unlucky. Since the day he returned I have been behind Pearson but I don't think I am any more. There are better managers out there who could be doing a better job for us than he is. I don't have any names of the top of my head before anyone asks but they are out there.

Available soon....Nigel Adkins

However I'm not calling for NP's head. At this moment I'm just resigned to a continuum of mediocrity that has been the club for a decade or so, whoever is the manager. Be it young up and coming, continental, or one of Europe's top trophy winners. We just can't seem to get it together for two games in a row. I'm just feeling completely deflated.

That said the Vardy/Waghorn decision and not playing Knockaert from the start is baffling.

Careful what you wish for! O'driscoll is a decent manager but we missed the boat on that one. 'arry is not tactically good so not sure this league is for him now.

Does anyone think beckford has a 'no drop from squad clause' in his contract? Why else is he on the bench?

Well I'm off down the pub.Won't solve anything but will make me feel slightly better.
