Not if Ricardo is played in the correct position.

He was bought because he's an international full back

Are you suggesting we went into a whole season with the core idea of playing Amartey at right back??

A right sided Jeff Schlupp.

Absolutely not. He's just clearly being played out of position.

Every time I've seen him he's been electric going forward. Really good stuff. I'd suggest having him as an out and out winger.

Surely to Lucifer other people can see he's a right winger?

But can Monsieur Puel?

He's a million times more a winger than he is a feckin full back. Puel doesn't like our only right back though.

I agree he’s not having a good game but he is doing his part in one of the better displays of us pressing a team we’ve given under Puel in my opinion.

And did you see the bit where he took a Fuchs throw on his chest and tried to play Vardy in? Just like the good old days.

This is his 26th appearance for club or country since he last scored a goal. It was last December at Southampton.

Sorry, but I'm not having it. He needs to do more than smile, hustle about and fall on his arse.

Didn't Monsieur Puel buy him as a wing back

No, because Puel doesn't believe in wing backs (i.e. wide players with three central defenders behind). It's a flat back four no matter what.

However, there is no doubt that is his position. He isn't a winger or a full back.

Chilwell is much the same. Perfect as a wing back, okay as a full back and winger.

And this is the problem. Ricardo would be a very good asset if he had a proven RB who could defend behind him. Mind you, where the hell are we going to find a Premier League winning RB with loads of experience and a proven track record available these days.....

That must have been one giant turd he left on Puel's car seat.
