He's been released from the Lions squad so he can play for Leics.

Excellent, didn't seem to be mentioned on the official site. It shouldn't harm his chances, if he continues to develop his one-day game as he is doing anyway.

Very solid win today by 7 wickets. Contributions from everyone over the course of the match. Batting looks more solid at the moment and the bowling unit is so much better than last year, and Malik's return has been impressive.
