Andy Graver - saw him miss literally on the goal line

You must be one of the few Leicester fans old enough to have seen him play!

First game - an end of season friendly v Derby County (1952)

Andy Graver was a prolific scorer for Lincoln City and I think had one season at Leicester - nothing went right for him - then returned to Lincoln.

manager..frank mclintock
gk..zelco kalak. or mike hooper
defenders from ..john curtis
micheal trotter
geoff scott
nicky plateneur
midfielders from ..marc north
junior lewis
paul ried
lee marshall
and up front.. tommy english and martin henderson.

You obviously go back a bit as well.

I think you are being a bit hard on Paul Reid - first he had got a powerful shot (admitedly rarely on target) but more important he lasted years and years as a professional footballer (Bradford etc) which must mean something.

Also whilst Martin Henderson was a bit inept in front of goal -and specialised in hitting the bar/post etc - he had a certain physical presence , led the forward line - and always gave of his best - which he had to under the great Jock Wallace. For instance, in the famous Weller match of the day cup tie on ice against Norwich, Henderson had a fine game & I remember scored a good goal - Trevor Benjamin, for instance, would not be capable of such a performance.

I have to agree with Redditch Fox, Paul Reid wasn't too bad at all, seem to remember him getting scythed down by psycho, twice in quick succession and psycho getting his marching orders, anyone else remember that or is my memory just worse than usual!

Reid's problem came when the manager (Pleat?) tried to turn him into a full back, and he gave away a couple of silly goals. As a left footer his best position was on the right wing, so he could cut inside and shoot with his left foot.

I remember the f*rest match, we drew at Filbert st, when Psycho got sent off for two identical tackles from behind. They beat us in the replay. Still got it on video I think. I remember I became a member for that match, because the kop was sold out and the only tickets left were in members areas.

Surprised nobodies mentioned Steve Bicknell, Lammie Robertson, John Ridley and Mike Duffy from the late 70s (To name but a few). But the all time worst player has to be Peter Eccles who made his debut in 88/89 at Centre Half away at Blackburn - he was so bad that Jock Wallace took him off at half time and was never seen again.

You will find I included Lammie Robertson above.

But the rest you mention have been largely forgotten because they also fall into the category of fleeting appearance players -I guess most of us were looking at players who proved they were a disaster i.e players the manager kept picking in spite of all the evidence.

Worst team

I think this lot should be added to the list

Denis W&%£ money grabbing little short arse git!

Alan Woolett?
Damien Delaney
Robert Ulerthone - loyalty!
Charlie Miller
paul Brooker
Craig Higgnett
jamie lawrence
Ashley Ward
Richard Cresswell
Jimmy Holmes
Terry Fenwick
Keith Robson
Billy Hughes
Wayne Clarke

I'm certain there are plenty more!

Paul Reid was a good winger but when Little used him as a left wingback the fun started, dreadful!! Anyone remember those two Zenith Cup Semi's? I think they were the final nails in his coffin. Felt a bit sorry for him in the end, played totally out of position.
