Went to the Lincoln City, Villa, friendly last night.

Lincoln played Villa off the park in the second half, and won 3-1. Villa had their strongest side out and with the Intertoto cup game coming up, you could sense MON wanted a performance.

As it was Villa fans started leaving 20 mins before the end, and if the game had gone on it would have been more of a hammering.

Good performances from Steph Oakes and especially Frank Sinclair.

Get some money on them each way for their league :icon_wink

Strange that you went to the game but didnt notice that Villa only had a strong team out in the first half, which finished 1-0. O'Neil then made 8 substitutions, bringing on several youth team players, and is the reason they lost the second half 3-0.

I would wait for a couple more friendly matches before putting some money on Lincoln. :icon_wink

I disagree, i saw enough from the new look imps to see they are good value at 25/1.
Lincoln also made 8 changes in the second half.
