Xbox 360 error message

Hi all,

Have any other xbox users experienced a problem involving an error message telling you to clean the disc you are using and restart the console?

I keep getting this message, even on brand new games that are spotless.

Any suggestions on what to do? Is it fercked or simply in need of a bloody good clean with some compressed air?

Sounds like the drive is ****ed, could be worth try running a lens cleaning disc inside it.

Well I've had a skeg at an xbox forum and it sounds like a fairly common problem with the lens dying, could have been fixed by Microsoft for free but the fecking thing is 6 days outside of it's warranty:icon_lol:

Found a good looking xbox website that fixes this and other common problems for £50 so could be worth a punt.

If its not the official xbox repair service ted and then you need them to repair it for another reason they won't touch it once a 3rd party has. Best to pay the extra and go down official lines.

Okay thanks bud, I'm going to try cleaning discs and other shnizz before I send it away though.
