Hello JB, While I was away in sunnier countries "heritaging" for a few weeks I was amused to see you had started a heritage thread on the forum. It is far too late for me to post on this but I had to comment. In newspapers it is "horses for courses" and you would not turn to "The Guardian" on heritage any more than you would turn to the Daily Mail on immigration. The Wigan footballer has as expected got his History wrong. It was the very pro-German "neutrality" of Irish Republicans during the two world wars that led to them disliking the poppy.
