Tbh these are that shit that Fuchs could be in goal and I'd be livid if we don't win.

BN's right, I can't see under what circumstances James would get on the pitch. Are our youngsters really so poor that it isn't worth giving one of them the boost that making it into the matchday squad would provide?

This is the 50 strong development squad list from Sep. Only Justin has played and he was a signing so only on this list for convenience. A handful went out on loan so we can't use, a few have been released and there are one or two not on this list but we do have them, e.g. Eppiah.

But clearly not one of them is deemed good enough for a place on our bench. We'd rather have four central midfielders covering two players.

It's not so much Fuchs as a centre half more albrighton as a left wing back!

Toure was on the pitch warming up the three central defenders - Justin, Evans and Soyuncu.

It will be Albrighton at right wing back and Fuchs left wing back.

Fuchs as a wingback makes even less sense to not have Thomas on the bench, he'll be knackers by about 70 mins, he's barely played, is 34 and you ask him to play wingback?

There is less running as a wing back in this system than as a full back in the 4-1-4-1. Ricardo and Chilwell have to run more than anyone every match. An extra centre back protects the wing backs enough that they don't have to go up and down quite as often.

Bournemouth have to attack and are playing with wingers and full backs if our wingbacks don't come back we'll be overran, so if they then don't get forward we'll have zero width wingbacks do have to run just as much as our full backs do

I was thinking more about switching the full backs with albrighton on the right...

I know the wing backs have to track back. They just don't do the same km per match as full backs have to in our usual system. Therefore, it actually suits Fuchs slightly better.

Jebus, they’re a shower at the back

Long balls, long crosses, wide crosses, balls into the box. Goals aplenty here

Oh FFS

Justin was already looking in trouble down that flank

They'll rip Bennett apart

Albrighton injured, Bennett coming on

So now it's Fuchs LWB and Justin right... Hmm.

People will knock it, and it's not ideal... But you've also got to admit we're bloody unlucky with injuries atm to players in wide roles!
