Lazzer, you should have been there, it really was a great gig. The Astoria is on two levels, you can be with the masses in front of the stage, who were packed in like sardines, or in the balcony above, where there was like terracing and you stood up.
A very tiny venue and the sound was deafening which is what you want. Lighting was simple but effective. Alexi Laiho knew how to work the crowd up and was a real showman. I look forward to the next time they are in the UK.
If you look on utube and put in Bodom astoria, there are loads of phone videos already up on there, crap but what do you expect from a phone being held by a bouncing metal head?
I took some pics but I cannot get them posted up yet as I don't know how and cannot be arsed to suss it out yet.
