Day 1 medals for the Home Nations so far...

Scotland's Caitlin McClatchey won Gold in the 200m freestyle whilst her compatriot David Carry won Gold in the 400m freestyle.(with Wales' David Davies getting Bronze)

in the Velodrome England picked up the Gold, Silver and Bronze in the Men's 4000m Individual Pursuit for Paul Manning, Rob Hayles and Stephen Cummings.
the Men's 1km Time trial Jason Queally(Eng) and Chris Hoy(Scot) took Silver and Bronze.
and in the Women's 500m Time trial England's Victoria Pendleton took Silver.

Swimming:
England's Matthew Clay and Liam Tancock picked up the Gold and Silver in the 50m Backstroke.
England's Ross Davenport and Simon Burnett take Gold and Silver in the 200m Freestyle.

Cycling:
Scotland's Kate cullen took Bronze in the women's 25km Points Race.

Shooting:
England's Mick Gault and Nick Baxter won Bronze in the men's 50m Pistol Pairs.
Isle of Man's Trevor Boyles and David Walton took Bronze in the men's Trap Pairs.


and in the Rugby Sevens' England are guaranteed at least a Silver when they take on New Zealand in the final.

And a silver it was. NZ beat us, it was a good game. The Aussies v Fiji in the 3rd/4th place match was good also, but overshadowed by a really nasty looking injury to one of the Ozzies.
