Caught the highlights of the Argentina vs Uruguay game this morning. Seemed like a decent game. Must say I have a soft spot for Uruguay, mainly because of Forlan and as glad to see them progress.

Paraguay had three draws in the group stage and won on penalties after 0-0 in the 1/4 and 1/2. Hoping for Uruguay myself (although I really don't care).

I find it hilarious that every time Forlan plays all the British commentators just go on about his "failure" at ManUtd and never the fact that he is one of the best strikers of the past 40 years. The British footballing media is so unbelievably self-centered.

I find the British media's complete and utter wilful ignorance of anything in football that occurs outside England immensely irritating. Perfect example was Alan Shearer last season claiming that nobody had heard of Newcastle's new signing - French international Hatem Ben Arfa.
