Can’t see Boris’ freedom day lasting very long here chaps. 5 or 6 pre games maybe before those doors get reclosed?

It's all going to end in tears.

It's going to be an almighty shambles. I'm trying to figure out when the announcement will come of the emergence of a newly mutated variant that resists the vaccine in 50% of cases. My money's on roughly October.

The trouble with being a populist government is that you end up doing things just because they're popular.

Popular with people who generally know nothing about anything.

Still, they've got pretty much everything wrong since last March & it doesn't seem to have harmed them so why stop now ?

How a country can find itself in thrall to an incompetent charlatan like Johnson still amazes me. But here we are.

He wants it to spread to get the herd immunity he desired at the beginning.

Part of me thinks he’s finally going to get something right. However I’ll be going to as many football games at the beginning of the season just in case.

Too optimistic.

It's not even like there's no precedent out there for how quickly it's going to go tits up again.

Yeah but you aren't factoring in the Great British common sense Matt_B Matt_B - so whilst it's a precedent for sure, it will only show a way slower reoccurence of status ****ed.

My mate is positive after a trip last week.

3 people he went with also positive with 1 in hospital on oxygen and blood thinners after having both doses.

After spending a week on a resort in Devon where people can't even follow simple instructions like "no dogs on the beach", and where they're practically humping arcade machines for sweet, sweet tickets, we've got no ****ing chance.
