sorry to hear that, I did, however, always have you down as a rent boy....

Unfortunately their decision is forcing me to sell and move into rented accomodation. Unlikely to be in a position to buy a property for at least 5 years !!!

How much do you need to keep the house? :102:

The fact is that the bank now want a deposit even though I am only requesting a transfer of equity so i can take the ex Mrs A-Z off the mortgage and they have seen this as an opportunity to claw some money back because the current value of the property is below the balance of mortgage, it is obvious by their tactics that they are forcing me to sell so they can recoup their money as it has taken them 3 months to make this decision and they also tried to tell me I couldn't afford it on my own until i provided evidence that I had indeed been able to afford it for the last 9 months which was when they decided to request the 10% deposit.

Too be honest I have now come to terms with selling the property, renting and paying off the difference and starting afresh.

Can somebody who understands these things better than me explain this.
If the BoE just prints off £75 billion to put into your economy, aren't they just effectively devaluing your currency? :102:

technically they didn't print it...they created it electronically

;)

devaluing the currency...yes it may well do like Wienmar Germany and Mugabe's Zimbabwe

they're ****ed and they're trying something risky

I know they obviously aren't going to actually print it.

What I'm saying is, if they just create 75 billion like this it devalues the currency the moment that they create it.
It's not a risk, it's a matter of fact, surely?

The way I understand it, it's a matter of fact that it will devalue the currency, but a matter of risk as to whether despite that it will help, or just make the situation worse.

yes it is, but not necessarily straight away, as you can see by the USD/GBP rates

they are hoping it won't devalue too much

the problems of a complete collapse of credit are worse than a weakened currency at the moment

the new money is tied up in buying shitty assets, it's not going to the man in the street (yet)

Worry no more, God has it under control.

It said so on Pause For Thought, we just need to put faith in him and he will sort it for us, in time.

Brill.
