Head To Head: Hereford United

Posted on: Wed 08 Apr 2009
HEAD TO HEAD
The two clubs have just 5 times in the past, with 3 of those clashes coming in the F A Cup and 1 in the League Cup. At Edgar Street, City have recorded 2 wins and a draw in our 3 previous outings.

EARLY MEETINGS
The first meeting came at Edgar Street in the F A Cup Fourth Round in January 1982, when a Larry May goal was enough to take City through, en route to a semi-final appearance.

RECENT HISTORY
The most recent clash at Edgar Street came in the League Cup in September 2006. City won that tie 3-1, thanks to goals from Elvis Hammond, Richard Stearman and Iain Hume. Last December, the first ever league meeting between the two clubs took place at the Walkers Stadium. The Foxes ran out 2-1 winners, thanks to strikes from Steve Howard and Andy King.

SEQUENCES
To date, City are unbeaten in all 5 previous meetings with the Bulls, winning 4.

DEBUTANTS
No Leicester player has made his Foxes' debut in any of the previous meetings with Hereford.

BAD BOYS
City's Patrick Kisnorbo and Trent McClenahan from the Bulls were both red carded in the most recent clash at Edgar Street between the two clubs.

FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS
The smattering of players to have represented both clubs over the years includes Trevor Benjamin, Alan Birchenall, Nicky Cross, Andy Feeley, Colin Gordon, George Heyes, Tony James, Bobby Kellard, Johnny Newman, Bruno N'Gotty, Jimmy Quinn, Kevin Russell and Winston White.

I think we'll win 2-0 but I'd start without Kisnorbo.

Warner

Edworthy Hobbs Morrison Mattock

Gradel Oakley King Dyer (although I don't want to play him).

Howard Fryatt

Apart from sticking Stockdale in goal I'd go with that

Sadly, Pearson will probably have Hobbs at right back and the two complete twatties Kisnorbo and Brown at centre back

Stockdale

Brown Hobbs Kisnorbo Mattock

Gradel Oakley King Dyer

Howard Fryatt

Subs: Warner, Berner, Powell, Ajdarevic, Dickov

Dyer and Oakley to score in a 2-2 draw.

It's Hereford for ****s sake

4-0 Leicester

****ing good lad :023:

I find the lack of bollocks from some people amazing, We ARE top of the league. these ****ers are abysmal and so we should expect nothing less than a severe thrashing, despite what happened last weekend.

**** it ill change that to 5-0

Some one with a sound mind. Good to see Lako. I'll go for the 4 nil that you originally stated.

This is where we come out of our slump and give a team a right going over

Big win to get back on track, either 3 or 4-0

Then we beat Leeds on Monday, job done.

We barely scraped a win past them at home, they're no mugs. And that was in the middle of a really long unbeaten streak, unlike the patchy form we are in at the minute.

12-0 to City

5 from Kisnorbo, 4 from Barry Hayles and a late hat-trick from Levi Porter making a surprise appearance from the bench

Thankfully it is not as simple as that. They parked the bus at our place and we found it harder to break them down, this time they have to go for it, thus leaving them open to a good thrashing.

The old backlash effect may also be in full swing from our recent underperformance. I can't see anything but a convincing win for the City.

It has been proven throughout the season that when teams try to attack us we punish them over the course of the game, Hereford will be trying for the win and will suffer the same fate, our better qulaity will prevail.

just made the transaction on my tickets....... Hereford 0 - 34 Leicester....i can feel it

1-2 Kisnorbo gets a last minute winner, but still finishes last in the post match ratings
