Hyde would be a good signing, but I'd say no to Noel-Williams. I'd rather use O'Grady and De Vries infront of him.

Southampton striker Marian Pahars has been told he will not be offered a new contract with the club.
Defenders Darren Kenton and Jim Brennan have also been informed that they will not be retained by the Saints.

Midfielder Matthew Oakley has had the offer of a one-year contract and defender Michael Svensson will be given six months to prove his fitness.

But winger Djamel Belmadi and midfielder Simon Gillett will be offered new deals.

Pahars, 29, has been plagued by injuries in the last two seasons.

"I was expecting to at least talk about a new deal and thought I would have to cut my salary by two or three times," Pahars told the club website.

"I was crying when the manager told me. I did not agree with his decision but there is nothing I can do about it."

Pahars joined the Saints for £800,000 in March 1999 from Skonto Riga.

I thought Kenton was excellent when he was here before, and Brennan even though a Forest reject is a decent left back?

Spot on H, I think we should be looking for a player who adds another option / dimension to the attack.

If we can, we should snap all 3 up. Pahars on a pay-as-you-play deal. Get Kenton and Brennan on 3 year deals, both good players. Kenton impressed last season when he was here on loan.

Brennan is still a decent midfielder and could bring a lot to Leicester. He scored two brilliant goals this March for Canada against Austria.

Id take Brennan too, never was sure about Kenton though, always looked a little mad-frank-esque to me. As for Pahars he would be awesome on a pay-as-you-play deal.

horsefield is a player that we should look at. very different from what we already have and we could introduce a nice little rotation system. he would shit on this league aswell

he is never going to agree to a pay as you play deal. we already have two strikers with aq similar style who are better than him. the other two possibly. is the other one a forest reject?
