Oadby, you are spot on, Jordy does need a kick up the jacksie, so does Connolly and a few others but it`s not our job to do it, it`s Craigs ! some players neede an arm round them and quiet words of encouragement others need a damn good bollocking, but we don`t know who need s what CL does, it`s our job to give them our full backing and do our bit for EVERY player wearing the shirt, keep up the good work !!

I disagree slightly there, I do think it's the fans job to let the players know if they are not doing the job. I don't mean the abuse thrown at Stewart last night, but by singing up someone when they are either playing badly or in need of a boot up the backside isn't the answer either. In fact I think that would only reinforce the poor performance.

Also it is players job to do their job and sometimes I feel supporters let the players off too lightly, particularly this and last season. If they are not doing it then the players and manager need to know this, in a weird way they are our employees. If we ain't there they ain't got a job.

However the little chavies last night were in need of a slap to get their heads back together.

i only really read the 1st page. i listened to last nights game on RL and stewart sounded like he wasnt having a great night, thats the thing with him he is either brilliant or pretty poor. never an average player. but i still stand by him and the whole team. if i ever go to a game and i hear a boo or something abusive i try to say something to them. like i went to the blackpool game at the walkers at the final whistle one bloke shouted "that was a ****ing discrace craig" because we were near the dug out so i told him not too pay his money to come see them play, and at the gillingham game this guy who usually always says something negative who sits behind me, i decided to speak up b4 the game so i said to him if we don't play great please dont say a thing i dont come to listen to negative comments. we played good and he didnt make a negative comment, and he didnt in the crewe alex game where we weren't so it seems to have worked. can't stand people booing and chanting "get him off" "sack the board" "micky adams out" or whatever the chav scum want. dont support a team you obviously dont really support is my message.

my 2 cents.

I think Jordan Stewart is generally a very good player has had played well for most of the season. Now i wern't at the game last night so i can't comment on the fans of last night but at every home game the people infront of me are constantly slagging off the players and will stand up and shout if we do something bad, but don't stand up and celebrate a goal!!

At pretty much every match i go to (and i goto all home and most away) you will always find people trying to slate Stewart and get on his back, just purely because they don't like him!!

Bet they were cheering him when he scored his goal at Ipswich though

Mad Biker, were u that guy who actually got into a scuffle defending stewart (on the left hand side of our fans) or were u the guy trying to calm that bloke with glasses down??

Did anyone else see the guy who hit the chair when jordan did a crap cross, and the police escorted him out!!

some people are morons, simple as. if the lad wasnt up to the job he'd be off on holiday with the flying cheeseburger, we know he has talent just needs some ****ing support, something some people dont understand....some people need to have a go at someone that can actually respond then they'll have their ways sorted

We've really got to get behind him. There isn't that many quick, skillful left sided defenders/wingers around and to be fair on his day he is that. I don't think we can afford to lose him. Plus, he must be fairly loyal, he's our longest serving player for god sake and people are slagging him off.

No mate, I was in the centre directly behind the goal and quite high up, did nearly get into some trouble though, thankfully they decided not to hit a defenseless old fart !!

For what ever reason a lot of people dont like steward and even when he playes well they shout abuse. boo him etc. IMO if this continues he will probably leave city, which, even though he is not a world class player, he does contribute a lot (most of the time) and would be missed.

If any boo boys start, I think we need to all make a point of asking the boo boys (politly) to support all the players and leave steward alone.

Start a campaign
Could we all print a 100 off A4 sheets with a "Support our squad" message or "Stop booing steward" message on them, then if we placed one on each row where we sit. With the comment "Please read and pass to your right"

It would only take 40 of us to do it and we could cover most of the stadium.

who is this steward that you dont like?
If they stand in your way just ask them to move

alternatively we could tell them to **** off and support coventry, either idea sounds decent though

i cant stand it when people slag off the team or individuals - i think there does come a point when people have to let their feelings known. if a sides putting in one despondent performance after another and look like they just dont care i think its ok for fans to let their frustrations be known but apart from that u shud just give them your complete support - especially when it comes to youngsters like stewart, whose got talent but no confidence and slagging him off from the stands isnt gonna improve that situation. also i would like to say that IMO jordans been very good for us this season and has put in far more good performances than bad and looks like he could develop into a very good left back/left mid player.
