He seemed to do better when he played in cup games. Do the stats bear that out?

Will always remember him fondly for the FA Cup run and his run of form that season. Always seemed to be a player who needed a run of games. But time to part on good terms.

The time that Harvey Barnes was injured.
We played Nacho and JV together for quite a few games.
They were prolific on that run of games.
However, once Harvey was fit again, I don’t think k it’s been tried for a run of games since

Victim of the modern game. A player who needs to be the support striker in a 2 but will probably never get to play the role. At least not regularly. A wasted career.

Which is why one of the jillionteen coaches and managers we’ve had since he joined should really have adjusted his role in the team

They can't. When you qualify for your UEFA badges there's a clause in the certificate that says if you ever play 2 strikers you automatically forfeit the right to ever be praised for any achievement & the press are required to say that it was because the opposition were shit.

You also get sent a framed photo of Mike Bassett with "LOL" written in the bottom corner (with 3 X's)

Nacho is obviously a beautiful soul. He has a wonderful sense of fun (FA Cup) but I feel ( my opinion) that he is not a top notch striker. We rate our strikers on conversations. He, quite simply, has not converted. I can’t see his use in our system in the future.

He dedicated a win to milfs once. I'll always love him for that.

Gutted he couldn’t deliver this year. I felt sure he’d do well at this level.
