IMO last season under Sven we played without fear, we had nothing to lose and played with a sense of freedom resulting in some excellent free flowing football, this season it is totally different their is a massive weight of expectation on both Sven and the club and it would seem that this is being translated out onto the pitch, my big fear is that when the weight of expectation was on Sven when he was with England he seemed to adopt quite negative and rigid tactics that encouraged dull and uninspiring football, hope I am wrong.

Who did we have last year when we were scoring freely that isn't here this year that was an aerial threat or a winger?
Naughton was one of our biggest attacking threats last year and Yakubu was obviously a massive attacking threat up top. Plus the other Chelsea full-back was attacking. We have replaced them with konchesky, peltier and no one.

Nugent?

Bollocks on the ref, he was ****ing woeful.
Take those specs off. The pen was nailed on, the free kick for their first was spot on. Couple of odd calls but no more than usual. If anything he was too lenient to the home side. Simple fact is we were beaten by a team who played much better than we did.

Nope

Just got back. What a woefull piece of crap that was. Looked lively first ten minutes then it all went tits up. After the equaliser we had our tails up for another ten minutes then decided on going backwards. WTF? Depressed. Bought beer.

This is pretty much my opinion. It's all mental, forget the goalscorer, we don't need him, we are lacking the positive attitude and it's the whole negative mindset thing going into games and I think Sven is too much of a quite nice guy to be able to change that. I would say last year there was still pressure as we were needing results not to get relegated at the time, but nothing on the scale of pressure we have around the club at the moment. There's nothing wrong with the formation, and our strength in depth is excellent for the most part so any team we put out should be capable of competeing at this level but at the moment it all pales into insignificance if we are effectively playing for a draw every game.

Does Sven actually do homework on our opposition? Bristol City had a makeshift back four, we played one upfront and two wingers on their opposite wings.

As BM, arrogance from the players was a joke. Has Sven thought through the logic of signing ten?

I agree definite penalty and Fernandes was lucky not to be sent off after some very rash challenges.

Report from the Guardian:

Sven-Goran Eriksson will not appreciate the irony. Having spent most of the summer trying and failing to sign Nicky Maynard, the Leicester City manager was forced to endure the sight of the Bristol City striker scoring in each half to inflict a second home defeat in the space of five days. The damage could have been even worse for Eriksson but Maynard missed a penalty on the stroke of half-time.

It was just about the only thing that he did wrong on a night when it was easy to see why Bristol City have turned down three offers from Leicester for the 24-year-old. His goals were wonderfully taken and ensured City picked up their first points of the season against a Leicester side that appear to be struggling with their status among the Championship favourites on the back of Eriksson's £10m spending spree. Boos predictably rang out at the final whistle.

Any notion that this fixture might represent the perfect opportunity for Leicester to regain their confidence after Saturday's chastening loss to Reading was blown out of the water long before the interval. Bristol City took an early lead through the livewire Maynard and continued to look the much more threatening thereafter, creating four further chances before half-time to make a mockery of their dreadful form coming into the game.

Leicester, in contrast, looked horribly disjointed and devoid of ideas going forward. Eriksson made four changes to his starting line-up, including dropping Matt Mills, the £4.5m signing from Reading who was captain on Saturday, but there was no sign of any improvement. It was not until the 45th minute that Dean Gerken, starting in place of David James, who was dropped after conceding six goals in Bristol City's first two matches, had a genuine save to make.

At the opposite end, Kasper Schmeichel could not take his eyes off the action and will have been relieved he had only picked the ball out of the net once come the half-time whistle. Maynard had a wonderful chance to double the visitors' advantage from the penalty spot in the 45th minute, after Gelson Fernandes felled Jamal Campbell-Ryce, but the striker cannoned his effort off an upright to finally give Leicester supporters something to cheer.

Fernandes had also fouled Campbell-Ryce in the lead-up to the breakthrough in the fifth minute. After a short free-kick, Maynard stepped forward to drill a splendid 20-yard shot beyond Schmeichel and into the far corner of the net. Albert Adomah, Neil Kilkenny and Marvin Elliott all came close to adding a second Bristol City goal as Keith Millen's side frustrated Leicester by getting almost all their outfield players behind the ball before counter-attacking with alacrity.

The tide appeared to have turned at the start of the second half as Leicester played at a higher-tempo and with renewed belief, taking the game to their opponents. They had their reward within 11 minutes when Gerken, who had made a fine save to claw Andy King's close-range header to safety moments earlier, failed to keep out David Nugent's shot from just outside the penalty area, despite getting both hands to the ball.

Leicester were buoyant for a period yet the complexion of the game changed again in the 66th minute, when Maynard dispossessed Sean St Ledger before stepping inside Sol Bamba and beating Schmeichel.

The home team rallied for a period but there was no way back and Kalifa Cisse and Ryan Taylor both had chances to add a third Bristol City goal as the game became more and more stretched in the closing minutes.

well summed up by Waggy's piss poor 40 yard effort

He had one of those in his half time warm up and knocked my missus off her feet!

Credit to him though - he came up to apologise and give her a hug.

St Ledger shite, Bamba shite, Konchesky shite, King, Wellens, Gallagher, Dyer, shite, shite, shite, shite. Early on, lots of pretty passing to no end. Then lots of misplaced passing. Waghorn inexplicably came on, and was appalling. Danns, shite. An arrogant, complacent, careless performance from players who just assumed they were going to win.

Fair play to Bristol City though, they're the best we've faced yet. Pressed well in midfield, made some good moves, looked vicious going forward. Could have had seven. Better side won. Don't blame the ref, he did very little wrong.

Summarised

Sven says:

We played well enough to get a draw, maybe even to win.
We played better football today.
But the fans might be right to expect more, considering the money that's been spent.
It's not good enough. We have to create more.

Are you sure that's not a copy and paste from the weekend's game? I'm getting a sense of deja vu...
