A poster on FT has said that Sousa is going to offer Rosenoir a contract. Apparently he's been training with City for a week. He was released by Reading at the end of the season and was going to go on trial at Bristol City until definite interest from us.

So - 2 possible right backs being signed in a week - IF we go for Lamey. Is Neilson on his way out ?

Re: Liam Rosenoir

Be a reasonable signing for some reason, I don't know why I thought he was a left-back.

It's my mate OTO with journalist mates whose posted it! Hahaha.

Reasonable signings get you midtable. I want signings that are good enough to get us at least three places higher than last season.
Astute members of the forum may spot that this is easier said than done.

Neilson out!!!

But who would take him? It's easy to say "we should get rid of him" but he has two more years on his contract and there's hardly a list of clubs battling for his services.

I would imagine that our best hope would be to try and loan him out for the season to a league one or SPL outfit.

Stop being so sensible Dessie :icon_lol:

Makes you wonder just how deep is this barrel that we are currently scraping the bottom of........

Not even slightly interesting fact: Rosenior is one of the many opposing players our stadium announcer has pronounced wrongly.

Re: Liam Rosenoir

And that costs money....money we haven't got.

It must be difficult for Sousa, at the moment. If he signs a host of freebies and investment comes, with new co-owners, then that is money wasted but, should he wait and the deal falls through, we could end up signing the dregs that no other team wants.

Also: Caleb Folan and Fraizer Campbell.

Perhaps when you are making this kind of observation, you should also include their their names in phonetic notion - lest any of us embarrassingly make the same mistake.

FWIW Mrs Boc announced in the pub only this lunchtime that if she ever had a child, she would like it to be called Fraser. Thank goodness she is no longer of child-bearing age!

Well in these particular cases:

1. Rosenior (as in Liam Rosenior) is pronounced the same as Rosenior (as in Liam's dad, Leroy Rosenior): Ro-senior. It should never be pronounced Roz-en-wahr, as it was when Liam played for Bristol City against us in a cup tie some years ago.

2. Fraizer is not pronounced the same as Frazier. If it was it would be spelled the same.

3. Folan's name is not Forlan. It is Folan.
