Directions & Parking:

Approx 76 miles - 2hrs-2½hrs

M1 north to J24 > A50 ......

Depart the A50, just after Sudbury, and join the A515 (4th exit), continue on A515 until you reach the junction with A52. Turn left and join A52. Continue on A52, and join onto A523. Follow A523, passing through Leek for approx 22 miles. The ground will be on your left hand side.

Plenty of street parking is available.

Trains:

You would have to leave prior to half time to stand any chance of getting back to Leicester by train.

Please reply to this thread if your planning to travel by train and staying over in the Macclesfield area. I will search for the best possible each way single prices for you.

Pubs:

The only pub remotely close to the ground is The Golden Lion. This is on Moss Lane (follow down the side of the ground, and around the bend). Alternitively, there is a selection of bars and eateries within Macclesfield town centre which is approximately 20 mins away.

Absolute joke that you have to buy from Macclesifeld, there is going to be about a thousand City fans queing up outside a shitty ticket office to get tickets, I just hope the FT gets there early.

You won't have to buy tickets at a ticket office, you'll pay on the turnstile.

This is common at a lot of lower league grounds, it shouldn't be a problem if they organise it properly.

I very much doubt there will be anywhere near 'a thousand' city fans.

I also suspect it will be cash turnstiles, which you would have to go through with a ticket anyway, so what difference does it make to hand over cash instead of a ticket?

Stop moaning!

Notts, my aa.com route planner says 1hr 45mins.

M1 J24 > A52 towards Leek > A523 > A53 > A520 > A523

Notts is going on his exercise bike. He lost 3 lb last week, don't you know!

Anyways it's J25 out get off the M1...not J24 like I said.

It looks as though Notts has suggested a route which avoids the centre of Derby - and also approaches the ground without having to go through Macclesfield as well.

If anyone has two spare seats in thier car for Macclesfield, Sheff Utd or Ipswich then I would be very grateful and would happily help you fill the car. :)
