I dont see what the problem is, at least the club is trying to do something to get more money. If people are silly enough to pay £70 then that is upto them.

There must be an entrepreneur out there willing to take a risk with this.

Hire the stadium for the day and arrange 5 matches (with slightly reduced time), so that's 10 teams with say 15 players each, a total of 150 players. Charge them £15 each and you've made £1000 profit.

There must be 150 people in Leicester willing to pay £15 to play at the stadium.

Well, I think £1250 is fantastic value for money. We are not talking about a quick kick around here. 9am-5pm in the Walkers with just you, your mates and a footy!

If the guys that I used to have a kick around with when I was a teenager were all free on Saturday, I'd be handing over £1250. Admittedly, it may be in place of their birthday and xmas presents for the rest of their lives...

Pleased to see I am not the only one who isn't so ignorant to the fact this is a good idea....

People would pay more than £15 (me included) to have a game on the pitch where their beloved team play, in closed season when the pitch is likely to get much repair before August as well. What's the ****ing issue?

Only one real issue with it....... giving about 3 days notice to get something organised.

If the club had told us this 2 months ago, we would have attempted to pull together a 5 a side tournament in aid of Loros, split the pitch in half (sure the club could supply 2 additional goal posts and ran it all day. Pricing could have worked as per Jeff's idea above, but hopefully attract even more teams
