Kasabian just edge the Arctics for the best album for me.

Best old stuff I have got into has to be JJ Cale.

Always a song of the year to sum up the good/bad times over the last 12 months too, JJ Cale's Magnolia reminds me of happy times.

Best old stuff I have got into has to be JJ Cale.

Always a song of the year to sum up the good/bad times over the last 12 months too, JJ Cale's Magnolia reminds me of happy times.

Thinking about my favorite old song of the year has to be Bukowski by Modest Mouse (only a few years old but meh). Lyrically it's my favorite song ever. 'I can't make it to your wedding, but I'm sure I'm gonna be at your wake.' Love it.

That it most certainly is. The pre-Johnny Marr stuff rocks, 'Good news for people who love bad news' in particular.

'We were dead before the ship even sank' which included Marr in the line-up is also top notch.
